Our major research is on the bass reproduction that will reproduce a song with the processing on its bass portion to deliver comfortable, perceivable, and safe music through your headphone, loudspeaker and subwoofer.
In general, our ear is not very sensitive to the deep bass. Conventional approach is to make the sound louder to let us listen more easily to the present of the bass or to increase bass output power directly. These methods consequently cause our ears under stress or even pain.
Controlling the output power is important to reproduce the relaxing and comfortable music. The implemented technology is to reproduce the bass portion so that we can use much less power when comparing to the conventional approach for the same loudness of the reproduced bass.
Another problem or weak point of the sound reproduction is the loudspeaker. So far the aim of the loudspeaker design is to make its response as uniform as possible but it is especially difficult to achieve such response in the bass portion. The roll-off of bass portion of a loudspeaker is very depending on the diaphragm size, used material, suspension system, sound box structure, etc.
Improving and optimizing the sound quality of loudspeakers have been implemented in the past several decades but these approaches need to compromise with a lot of physical factors and constraints so that these are not easy to get a great improvement on that.
We are using another approach to reproduce the bass portion so that it will be lesser dependent on the bass response of the loudspeaker and easily reproduce hearable, perceivable bass music.
To limit the output power level of a headphone is very important to protect your ears. Using power boost in the bass is a typical and common threat to impair our hearing if we listen to the bass boosted music for a long time.
As the implemented technology is using much less power in the bass reproduction, the player can bring you safe music with natural, rich, deep bass. It is also a green approach which can improve the battery life of the portable product.
